What is London Better Together?
London Better Together is a free, web based Charter designed to encourage London businesses of all sizes to take action to make London a better place to work and do business.
How much does it cost to join London Better Together?
There is no cost to join - all that is required is a commitment to take action.
How could my business benefit from joining London Better Together?
In addition to the general benefits of making London a better place to live and work, signing up to London Better Together could directly benefit your business with:
- reductions in your costs with simple money saving actions
- improvements in your working environment
- improved motivation and retention of staff
- networking opportunities with other businesses and partner organisations
- recognition of the good things you already do
- opportunities to promote your business on the London Better Together website
How will my support of London Better Together be recognised?
Upon successful registration to London Better Together, your business will automatically be added to the list of Businesses Committed to Action and any visitors to the site will be able to view the actions you have pledged.
You are also able to upload case studies on any of the actions you have completed by logging in to the secure area and submitting them online.

What if I’m already doing some of the actions?
You may well already be doing some of the actions listed in the menus and London Better Together provides recognition of these. Simply select the actions that you are already doing in addition to those which you would like to pledge. Please note that you are also able to provide case studies of your actions to enhance your profile and encourage other businesses to take action.
We are a small business, can we still be involved?
Absolutely. London Better Together has specifically been designed to recognise the huge diversity of businesses in London and the ways in which they can all have a positive impact on the Capital.
Who is behind London Better Together?
London Better Together was founded by the partnership between:
The London Development Agency; Business in the Community; Corporation of London; the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry; London EBP Network, London First; London Sustainability Exchange; and the London Voluntary Sector Council.

Is anyone able to join London Better Together?
London Better Together is for businesses of any size that are based or have business premises in Greater London.
How will my actions be monitored?
London Better Together does not provide any external verification of your activity but your pledges will be visible to any visitors to the site so please only pledge to actions that you are already doing or committed to doing. Support on the actions is available from both the Helpdesk and the delivery partners.
Where else is Better Together?
The Better Together model is already operational in Birmingham and Dorset.
