Somerford Grove is an open access adventure playground for children aged 5-15 situated in a deprived area of Tottenham. There is also a playgroup that caters for children aged 2-5. All children live in the local vicinity. The playground is almost totally funded by the Lottery. The Centre is used by other community groups such as Scouts, a bike maintenance project and other community events.
Project: Team of volunteers are needed to paint the inside of the Centre. Tasks include: Corridor: paint the corridor (2 volunteers), wash walls first with sugarsoap solution, then emulsion only. Meeting room/cr?che (2 volunteers) paint the walls; Kitchen (1 or 2 volunteers) paint walls with washable paint; Playgroup room (5 or 6 volunteers) paint walls in emulsion; the room will be prepared first.
