An average size girls' secondary school situated in south east London, specialising in technology. A high number of pupils are eligible for free school meals but only a small proportion have English as an additional language, although many pupils are bilingual. One fifth of pupils have learning difficulties or disabilities. The school draws one fifth of its pupils from Black African and Black Caribbean groups and about one fifth of pupils from other minority ethnic groups. Most pupils' attainment is average when they start school.
Project: A team of volunteers is needed to work with Young Enterprise on a 'Learn to Earn' programme with pupils from Year 11 incorporating environmental issues facing today's businesses. You will address issues such as: how businesses can be environmentally friendly; the impact businesses can have on the environment and business opportunities born from environmental issues. Help with CV writing and interview techniques will also be incorporated.
