The Link Secondary School is a non manintained Special Needs school for 11 to 19 year olds. Www.link-sec.sutton.sch.uk. The school users speech and language therapy to teach children with expressive and repressive language problems. Some children also have communication problems such as Autism. The children do not often get a chance to interact with new adults and will therefore heavily participating in the day.
Project: The special needs children will team up with volunteers to work on each of the activities throughout the day. The children will also be providing lunch and refreshments throughout the day. Assitance building pernmanent path to outdoor classroom. Building some raised planters with gravel sourrounding that the school children can maintain ongoing. Moutn exisiting mosiac.
Project costs: budget required for materials: heavy hammers, skip, (perhaps cement mix), paving slabs, sand, raised planters kits school to source), wood, gravel
