Boston Manor Park is a large historic park surrounding Boston Manor House which was built in 1623 and remained in private ownership until 1924. Most of the land that is now the park was farmland until the end of last century. Today the park has ornamental lawns and homes a small pond, 3 tennis courts, a basketball court, and a large children's play area.

The site in the park is situated within a ten minute walk from Boston Manor tube station. Parking is also available on site.

Project: The project will consist of rejuvenating a large rose bed in the park, giving a new lease of life to a much appreciated area. The tasks which will need to be carried out to achieve this consist of the clearing of a 2m by 60m rose bed and subsequently re-planting the area with new plants. The area will be completed by the laying of a bark-chip mulch.

Another element to the project for those not so interested in gardening is to assist with the preparations for the Brentford Festival in the form of helping to make signs and make bunting etc.

Project costs: Budget required for puchasing of roses and herbaceous plants
